District seeks nominations for annual alumni awards
The Nelson County School District is accepting nominations for the 2010 Distinguished Alumni Awards. Winners of this award will then be in the running for the T. Gerald Florence Outstanding Alumnus Award.
The awards will be presented on Saturday, April 24 during the Nelson County Education Endowment Fund’s Senior Class and Alumni Celebration at Nelson County High School beginning at 5 p.m.
Any graduate from Nelson County (Senior) High, Bloomfield High, Boston High, Chaplin High or Old Kentucky Home High is eligible.
Nominations are due no later than Friday, April 2. Nominees must still be living at the time they are nominated, have graduated from one of the schools listed above, have distinguished themselves in their chosen vocation or have demonstrated significant service to their community or the school system.
Nomination forms may be picked up at the district central office at 288 Wildcat Lane or downloaded here.
Individuals or groups may make a nomination. Persons making nominations do not have to be graduates of the Nelson County School District.
Nominations should be mailed to Vivian Fleenor, Development Director, Nelson County Education Endowment Fund, 288 Wildcat Lane, Bardstown, KY 40004 to be received by April 2.
