New Haven School student places third in bee

Grant, a fifth-grader at New Haven School, placed third in the Nelson County
Spelling Bee on March 3. He received an award certificate from contest
pronouncer Patsy B. Seay. Bethany, an eighth-grader at St. Joseph School,
won first place, and Bardstown Middle School sixth-grader Camille took
second place. Bethany will represent the county at the Derby Festival
Spelling Bee on March 20 in Louisville. The competition, which this year
attracted 14 spellers, is sponsored locally by the Nelson County Farm Bureau.
