Interim principal named at NCHS; Wilson moves to central office

Nelson County High School principal Sara Wilson has been named interim director of human resources for the Nelson County School System, and Denise Skaggs, a curriculum resource consultant for the system and a former principal in LaRue County, will take the reins at the high school.

Sisters are named dulcimer champs

Kayla, a freshman at Nelson County High School, and her sister, Erika, 10, a fifth-grader at Cox’s Creek Elementary School, were first place winners recently in state dulcimer competition during the Kentucky Music Weekend in Louisville.
